Bake Your Own Cheesy Crackers

Bake your own cheesy crackers at home with this easy, tasty and nutritious recipe. They're the perfect balance of flavour and fun.
Cheesy Crackers Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp red or black quinoa, uncooked
- 30g / 1.1oz unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
- 85g / 3oz cheddar cheese, grated
- 30g / 1.1oz parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1 tbsp cold water
Method:
- Preheat oven to 150°C / 300°F / Gas Mark 2.
- In a medium bowl, mix the quinoa, butter, cheese and spices together until you have a cheesy butter spread.
- Add the flour. Mix with a fork to break up the butter clumps until you have a pebble consistency. Use your fingertips to push out any big butter lumps.
- Add the cold water and bring it together into a shaggy dough.
- Flour a board and roll the dough out to 0.5cm / 0.2" thick. Cut into animal shapes, or alphabet shapes or cookie cutter shapes, or simply score into squares. Poke a couple of holes into each square to stop the cracker from puffing up.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden.
